iBookstore comes to the iTunes Store at last

The iBookstore is now in the iTunes Store on the desktop, MacStories reports.

It’s something that most of us would have expected Apple to implement when they first brought us iBooks with iOS 4. At least for me, finding new apps, books and other content is something better done on my Mac, where I can more easily pursue multiple avenues at once.

You don’t need to have the new iTunes developer beta to see iBookstore in the iTunes Store. It’s a server-side change, and there is now a dedicated “Books” tab in the main iTunes Store menu at the top of every page.

Apple just has to make the Australian iBookstore worth checking in on with decent titles and I’ll be happy.
