Steve Jobs sends message of support to Apple staff in Japan

According to MacRumors, Apple CEO Steve Jobs has reportedly sent an internal message to Apple employees, reiterating his and the company’s support for those affected by the recent earthquake and Tsunami in Japan.

The message, sent via email to all Apple staff, reads as follows:

To Our Team in Japan,

We have all been following the unfolding disaster in Japan. Our hearts go out to you and your families, as well as all of your countrymen who have been touched by this tragedy.

If you need time or resources to visit or care for your families, please see HR and we will help you. If you are aware of any supplies that are needed, please also tell HR and we will do what we can to arrange delivery.

Again, our hearts go out to you during this unimaginable crisis.

Please stay safe.

Steve and the entire Executive Team

Apple has already encouraged iTunes users to donate to the Red Cross, helping raise money to deliver aid to those stricken by the natural disaster, also delaying the launch of the iPad 2 in the country.

Apple Stores in Japan played a pivotal role in helping deliver messages after the earthquake hit. Customers sheltered in stores, using the computers to send correspondance to their friends and family when other communication networks were down.
