Apple has introduced a few (20 or so) “bargain” HD movies to its HD movie section with purchase prices ranging from $5.99 to $9.99, with some title having rental prices of $1.99 to $3.99.
Of course, 20 or so titles isn’t much to scream from the rafters about, but still, it’s hopefully the beginning of what would be a welcome trend of iTunes getting lower-priced HD titles from the studios.
Getting lower-cost HD titles could become increasingly more important for Apple, as Netflix for one has already has an extensive HD library of 600+ movies that can be streamed and cable providers such as Comcast also offer HD content as well.

Why, oh why, oh why can we still not buy HD movies in the UK?
Bastards.
