Apple Surpasses Microsoft To Become The World’s Biggest Tech Company

It’s happened, Apple has zeroed in on Microsoft in terms of market capitalization and in doing so, has become the world’s biggest technology company.

F**k it, we'll do it live!

Our biggest ever edition of TNW Conference is fast approaching! Join 10,000 tech leaders this May in Amsterdam.

In fact, the only American company valued higher is Exxon Mobil, with a market cap of $282 billion.

Anyhow, it’s official, Apple is now worth more than Microsoft. To put this in context, a decade ago when Ballmer became CEO, Microsoft MarketCap $556B, Apple’s $15.6B. Today, well take a look at the screenshot below for yourself.

Is Microsoft’s real problem, Ballmer after all? Time to resign?

Looking forward to seeing where things end up at stock market close today. There’s always a chance it could slip behind again but if it does, it’s certainly only temporary.
