Apple Shows Off “iPad Ready” Websites. Invites You To Create and Submit Yours.

In an attempt to lure other sites to do the same, Apple has created a new section of its site for iPad Ready websites, essentially websites that are completely compatible with the iPad and more significantly have rid themselves of flash and made videos playable in HTML 5.

The list includes the likes of TED.com who has recently made all their videos available in HTML 5, Flickr who we were unaware had done the same, and other sites including Vimeo, The White House, Time Magazine, CNN and more.

Apple also invites you to submit your own iPad ready sites, just click on the “Submit your site to the growing list” link at the bottom of the page.

Apple has also produced a guide with details explaining how to prepare your website for the iPad to produce a “desktop like experience”, that guide can be found here.
