Google Maps adds ski run and chairlift data for 38 new resorts in the US and Canada

Google has announced today that ski run and chairlift maps for 38 resorts have been added to Google Maps, helping you ditch the paper handout from the chalet and navigate your way around the mountain with a little more ease.

Now, when you search for any of the new ski resorts in the Google Maps app, you’ll be able to see the standardized colored runs – green for beginners, blue for intermediates, black for experts and orange for terrain parks – as well as the ski lifts as red dotted lines.

It’s worth noting that all of the new maps cover popular mountains in the US and Canada, so if you’re from Europe, you’ll need to learn the difference in color coding.
