News broke earlier today that Nokia is suing Apple for patent infringement on a number of key mobile technologies. It’s a good job that Nokia’s not suing over the iPhone app store too – as this video shows there’s no contest between the way the two manufacturers sell you apps.
While Apple’s approach is easy and quick, Nokia’s is… the exact opposite. The Really Mobile Project put together this brilliant animation that shows exactly how frustrating it is to buy a simple Twitter app from Nokia without tearing your hair out. Check the stats at the end to see just useless the whole Ovi Store experience really is.

Great stuff, love the way they showed how does it look like. Unfortunately I use Nokia too, as a business phone it’s alright, but no new trendy stuff. They charge for everything, and Ovi is really crap. Anyway thanks for some fun:)
It’s a shame that most companies keep their heads stuffed in their butts when the market starts to change. It’s obvious that the standard, not the exception, is now an easy shopping experience to purchase apps for phones. This is why Apple is dominating the market with it’s iPhone. The whole process is easy for the consumer. That’s what people want. Easy. They don’t pay money for headaches and things that don’t work.
