I love my iPhone, but in the winter, being based in the UK and riding a Vespa, my hands are constantly in gloves which makes pulling them off to use the iPhone a frustration I could do without. See, gloves and the iPhone haven’t worked well together, until now.
Today Dots Gloves announces their new line of iPhone Gloves, all enabling winter usage of the iPhone. Their gloves sport a nylon shell, fleece lining and microfiber grip palm, incorporates three “dots” into the glove fingertips, connects your finger tip to the iPhones, even in the harshest temperatures. You can touch, tap, scroll and ping all in the comfort of a snug pair of gloves. Best of all you’d be glad to know they only set you back around $20 and are available to ship worldwide.

Not as cool as Etre Touchy gloves: http://www.etretouchy.com/
I just saw that their Twitter ID was brandjacked: http://www.twitter.com/dotsgloves and they have many negative reviews here: http://www.crunchbase.com/company/dots-gloves. I have no personal knowledge about the gloves, but was researching before a purchase.
I’m researching to try and find out. I’d like to take a look at this from a PR perspective and, of course, reinforce the importance of securing a brand name on popular social networks.
Well if it works I need to have them! This is an essential winter clothing gadget if you ask me.
Last year I ordered three pair of dotgloves but I never recieved them. I totally forgot I did but thanks to this post I’m sending them an email again!
What do you reckon Sarah? Competitor trying to make them look bad or genuine?
I’ve emailed for a comment, will update once I heard back
I wouldn’t expect any less from you :)
