Artist Jack Strange presented this work of art at an exhibition at the Tanya Bonakdar Gallery in New York in 2008. It consists of a MacBook and a lead ball that rests on the letter ‘g’. Eventually the document becomes so big that the MacBook crashes.
Can anybody tell me when that would be?

It is wonderful ! I love it!
2gb worth of characters?
I think it would depend on the program. iWork Pages, MS Word, or something else? It would be nice to see which software would run the longest.
Clearly a reference to art and science – Newton, Apple[s], and Gravity.
Science, knowledge and technology enriching the modern world? A society that’s destined to fail, burdened by the weight of immense shared wisdom, and pitiful finite resources? Return to our root[s] or be dammed [crash].
Transparent genius. No?
It might be the case that it will never crash.
After the program starts using all of the RAM, it will start using Virtual RAM (use the HDD). If the HDD has no space left, then an error will occur but it will not crash the computer. The process will be most likely be held until more free space is found. This might take more time than the lifecycle of this macbook though.
Could someone explain why the hell is this called art?
i love that definition, works for me.
I guess you guys didn’t get it. Or maybe I just am being perverse. But perhaps this could be a reference to sex? Stay on the G spot long enough and the computer has an orgasm. Maybe? Anyone else get that besides me?
