BabelWith.Me lets you set up a simple, gorgeously designed chat-room in a matter of seconds. You’re then provided with a unique URL to share with whomever you’re looking to chat with – no matter what language they speak – and get chatting as you would normally.

The service supports up to 45 different languages and performs real time translation as you type. Developed by LifeChurch.tv using Yahoo’s Babel translation API presumably, the service works like a charm.

You currently aren’t able to set up an account of any sort nor save conversations, but considering the service is in Alpha mode – its hardly surprising.

  • We actually used the Google Translate API, and we will be offering accounts to own chat rooms and manage chatters in the near future. Coming tomorrow will be speed updates and translation tweaks.
  • Wow! I'm speechless. I just discovered this chat site in Digital Point Forums and it blew me away. You can translate your conversation instantly in the chat room while you chat...and into any one of 45 different languages. I'm sure it's just a matter of time before everybody is talking about this site. I'm just glad I was one of the first to discover it, though I'm not really sure how long it's been around.
