The Next Web

Students play “Snake” on house wall. Guarantee you’ve never seen this before.

Too much creativity and TIME on their hands…I can’t even imagine how long this took to put together.

Some students from Tampere, Finland did the same with Tetris in 2008: http://www.mikontalolights.fi/blogi/index.php?i....

So how about your guarantee? ;)
  • lol :) I kinda regret saying that now.... But at least its not Snake! :)

I was there when the students in Tampere did it, a nice spectacle!
  • Or students from the Technical University in Delft, already in 1995! They played Tetris as well:

  • lol..still not snake...my guarantee is waning here... :P

LoL! How is this even possible? How do they synchronize?
  • Very cool video. I used to love that snake game.
  • So many examples of prior art, and all of you still missed Blinkenlights (2001) which was quite spectacular back then!

Now I know for a fact that at least half of the nextweb team was already around on the 'net at that time...

    Here: http://www.blinkenlights.net/blinkenlights
  • This is SO cool! I wonder if they had to set up a wireless system for all the strobes or if they actually had to wire the whole thing together. Turning an entire building into a video game display... fascinating. Thanks for posting this!

I find it very odd that every window looks exactly the same. I'd say it's a fake.
However, that doesn't matter too much. The idea is funny and it could well have been true. It's trueish.
