Screenshots of Microsofts New Search Engine. Its called Bing.Despite what some of the images say, courtesy of TechCrunch, the search engine is actually called Bing. We haven’t had time to play yet, and it’s official due date is not till the 1st of June but TechCrunch, Marketing Pilgrim and Search Engine Land have in depth reviews.

  • Are you sure you mean 1st May, not 1st June? :-S
  • Many thanks

Any plans on the successor of Bing? I mean what about Live (and so on)?
  • Sure those categories and related searches are nice. But if I'm searching for the biography of Obama I type 'biography obama' not obama. I hardly use such things.
  • searching images is a sport. You have to be skilled at it. I have no problems with google image search.
  • And let the competition start!

I've used google since it was 1st tossed out there for R&D having tested it against its competitors at the time.

If you want the same gladhand, fanboy, typical information that a million others publish - "bing" is your cht.

Microlimp has always gone the inarticulate route in their user interface and product performance - soley trying to convince the knowitall pleebs they have it better, successfully to many degrees - LMFAO.

Most people like to think they can fathom and comprehend the technicalities just because they can search it.

I did not have to wait 1 sec to confirm that the indexing and provision of results absolutely sucks in 'bling'. 10 out of 10 MISSES!!! right outta the blocks.

As far as the decison support - ms is so desparately trying to convince everyone they can do groupsware/shareware/KnowledgeManagement/collaboration/etc/etc/etc that everything they are push out has that lil marketing rhetoric its going to help Business Intelligence when in fact its very very very expensive garbage. SharePoint comes to mind as they barrage the public and private sectors with secret stock options and plenty of "supporting" documentation.

Be well warned - like every o/s they every dropped on you - not ready for prime time - although you can convince yourself of anything you like - .

If you want the same old, same old: football score, presidential coverage, recipies or entertainment gossip then enjoy the 'bung'.
