Posted on YouTube by “Hauram” the video shows someone (possibly him) take a knife to his MacBook Air because of tearing on the hinges.
According to HotHardware, the biggest problem is that Apple isn’t calling it a problem covered by warranty. This, at least for this guy, lead to him taking a knife the gorgeous and expensive piece of hardware.

It’s an awful video to watch.. especially on the day my Macbook Air failed and needs repair… I miss it so much…
I would do the same (even if it’s not broken)
Now you should ask the question: what ibm owner buys a macbook air???
And the answer is: o one!
Don’t stab your laptop, not a mba, not an ibm, not even a hp or an acer!
Just get it fixed or at least give your laptop away..
I just watched this video on my MBA. It’s also having some hinge trouble. It’s bizarre that Apple is (once again) washing its hands in innocence even though this is clearly a design flaw.
The guy needs to learn to type.
There is only 1 way to find out … :)
