Thanks to GMail’s continued “lab” feature developments, you can now view YouTube videos and other content, directly in your email messages.
Whenever anyone sends you a link to a YouTube video, Flickr or Picasa image as well as Yelp review – you’ll be able to view the content directly in what’s fast becoming the best email app ever.
To get the feature running however you need to do the familiar routine of visiting Labs in ‘Gmail Settings’ and ‘enabling’ each option you’d like to be able to view directly in GMail.
You’ll notice a number of awesome lab features in there, some of our favorites include: Offline Gmail (of course), Quicklinks, Google Calendar gadget, Filter import/export and Send & Archive.

Whooops! Just discovered they DID fix the bloggroll. Nevermind :)
But still they cannot fix the bloggroll…
Google’s GMail has to be the best email provider available to date. I don’t know of any other email provider that does what GMail can do. Google never ceases to impress me!
When you’re sending a YouTube by Gmail, it’s just about impossible to know if the recipient is going to have the Google Labs functionality configured correctly.
If you want to be sure that the recipient gets your youtube, you can use the Lizzer bookmarklet (at http://lizzer.com). When you add a Youtube with Lizzer, it will insert an image from the video and simply link it to the YouTube page.
Check it out at http://lizzer.com.
