Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg had his public twitter account discovered today thanks to Plaxo’s marketing chief John McCrea.
Interestingly McCrea discovered the account whilst searching for a previous discussion with a Facebook employee, consequently he noticed that employee had tweeted with an @finkd. Zuckerberg has had a private twitter account under the username @zuck but apparently he’s left that one virtually unused.
Before assuming otherwise, according to Eric Eldon at VentureBeat, the company have confirmed the account is genuine.
Considering the recent Facebook updates, and similarity in features, it’s an interesting development.
I know one follower he will not have :)
Mark Zuckerberg on Twitter! That’s something I didn’t think would happen, but its quite interesting that he did! He said he plans to incorporate an unlimited number of friends with Facebook like Twitter offers! This is definitely breaking news!

I think people expected something profound from his tweet stream – Instead its all about re-directing traffic to Facebook. Why would it be anything else? He wants you to interact with him using his product, not a competitor's product!
He should probably trick out his twitter page – and his Facebook page too!
