At the Wharton Business Technology Conference, Microsoft unveiled the latest vision video from their Microsoft Office Labs called “2019″. The video shows an array examples of how current prototypes may evolve in the years ahead within the worlds of education, healthcare and beyond.
Long Zheng over at istartedsomething.com managed to get his hands on the full version of the presentation which I have embedded below.

Pretty cool. I only see one thing preventing all this from happening anytime soon: patents. Patent life cycles need to reflect today’s speed of innovation.
The ease in which these programs run in the video makes it seem they are partially thought controlled. I can see the hands making small movements, but it suggests there is a lot of intuition within the program. I do like the thought of “thought controlled” or “intention driven” programs. Imagine music creation or interaction. The hardest part of making music is laying it out with correct placement (pitch/timing) and instrumentation and a program that did that would be amazing!
yes completely agree, that and our currently overwhelmed energy infrastructure, think of all that data moving through all those outdated lines, I mean if people complaint now about lousy cable service!!
