Google is always up with interesting features to intrigue its users. Here is new feature from Gmail Labs, which allows you to append your current location to your email signature.
It will make use of your public IP address to determine your location, so it may not always be that accurate. Make sure your browser has a version of Gears that supports the location module for more accurate location detection.

To try it, turn on Location in Signature from the Labs tab under Settings, then go to your signature preferences and check the box next to “Append your location to the signature.”

I expect this will tie in with Google Location in due course.
Just one thing I’ve noted when using Google Labs – a ‘get out of trouble’ rescue link.
“If (when) a Labs feature breaks, and you’re having trouble getting into your account, there’s an escape hatch – just go to https://mail.google.com/mail/?labs=0 and Labs will be temporarily disabled.”
must be a useful feature for travellers
