Comment tracking service Backtype have just added Friendfeed support which now adds a total of 14 services to their tally of services.
The web application tracks peoples comments across a variety of services and aggregate them to one place. With Backtype, simple visit the site and subscribe to folk you find interesting.
They also recently added alerts which enable you to track and be notified when particular keywords are mentioned in comments across the web.
The full list of services they are able to tracks comments within are:
- Publishing Platforms: Blogger, LiveJournal, Movable Type, Posterous, TypePad, Vox, WordPress
- Comment Systems: Disqus, Intense Debate
- Aggregators: FriendFeed
- Answers: Mahalo Answers
- Social News: Digg, Hacker News, Reddit
To claim your comments, just visit the claim comments page and submit your FriendFeed username.















I just tried a few alerts in Backtype, and was able to see comments on issues that interest me, and go straight through to add my own comments.
As well as following individuals, the alert facility means I can follow ideas and connections – a very powerful addition.
