A Milestone To Be Proud of: Techcrunch Reaches 2 MILLION Subscribers.

Whatever you might think or feel about leading tech blog Techcrunch or it’s public persona and founder Michael Arrington, the site is an inspiration to new and established blogs across the web. Behind the controversy, breaking stories, rivalry and heated debates (which have taken their toll) is hard work and determination which Arrington and his team over the years deserve all the credit for.

Congratulations Techcrunch, we salute you!

    Congratulations! Techcrunch
  • 2.000.000??? Incredible. Amazing. Insane! Where will they be in 5 years? 10 million? Took them less than a year to go from 1 to 2 million right?
  • Well and how many readers are there of their RSSfeed? ;).
  • Feedburner ignores people who don't update their feed. So you can assume it is a large crowd...

    Dugg this post...
  • Almost 400k are subscribed via Google Reader, which automatically updates. How does Feedburner cope with that? Besides, the fact that people update, does not automatically means they read it (especially since Techcrunch is in a lot of subscriber packages in RSS readers).

I agree it is a tremendous number of subscribers, however I do tend to think that number itself does not reflect the real use of RSS.
  • Wow 2 million. This is truly an achievement! Congrats to the TC team.
I remember when we invited Michael Arrington to the first The Next Web Conference, back in 06, Techcrunch was well know in the hardcore web2.0 scene, but far from mainstream. They had 40.000 subscriber back then!
    Once more Great achievement!
