Lycos Europe: will the last one out please shut the door

Less than a month ago we told you that Lycos was for sale for only €200 million. Apparently our little ad didn’t help much because Lycos hasn’t found a buyer and will be pulling the plug on their European activities.
Of course they are going to talk to their shareholders in December (12th) first and they still hope to get a least €50 million by selling leftovers. But after that it is goodbye and farewell to 500 or 700 employees.
The only thing they still have to do is sell off its domains, Danish portal and shopping activities. Expect to see them on eBay any minute now.
