Hot UK start-ups join Digital Mission to Texas

Digial MissionUKTI and Chinwag have announced the 39 UK digital companies that will join them on the Digital Mission trip to South By South West Interactive (SXSWi) in March.

The trip is a chance for the UK to arrive en masse at one of the world’s premiere technology conferences to meet some of the most powerful people in the business and (hopefully) do some deals. Masterclass sessions, networking, marketing support and meetings with local partners are all part of the programme.

Competition for the 39 places was fierce, with 120 submissions being filtered by an advisory board including VC’s, export specialists, legal experts, journalist and industry pundits.

We’re pleased to see start-ups we’ve recently covered make the list. Mobile podcasting firm AudioBoo and 3D virtual gifts company Little World Gifts are in there, as well as other UK companies doing interesting and innovative work. Gig Locator, Nsyght, UberVu, Tweet Jobs and Skimlinks are all worthy winners.

It’s not just start-ups joining the trip. Also on the list are a number of digital creative digital like Stockport’s KMP Digitata and Newcastle’s Orange Bus and some larger, better known firms like Moonfruit.

You can find a full list of the companies joining this year’s Digital Mission to SXSWi here.

Previous Digital Missions have included visits to New York, Los Angeles and San Fancisco and this is the second time they’ve hit SXSWi. Here at The Next Web we’d like to congratulate all the companies that made the final list.
