The New Smirnoff & Time Out iPhone is Set to Transform Londoner’s Social Lives

smirnoffA new iPhone App from Smirnoff and Time Out is in the wings, due to be released on 14th December, it will revolutionise the way Londoner’s enjoy nightlife, culture and eating out in the city.

Users can use it to plan nights out, see what their friends are doing and get their hands on hard-to-come-by tickets for the top-notch venues. With geo-location technology, the app can pinpoint your location and recommend timeoutnearby activities with a full event preview.

Another great looking feature is ‘Sociability’, depending on your previous activities in your area, it will recommend similar events, venues and activities and alert you to them allowing you to invite your friends and other like-minded people.

Once you’ve experienced one of the great activities first hand, you have the option to add it to your favourites. Then your friends can see what your favourite cinemas, restauraunts, and clubbing venues are.

David Pepper, MD of Time Out said, “Time Out and Smirnoff are two iconic leaders in extraordinary entertainment – together we are launching the best entertainment finder app on the iPhone. The Smirnoff & Time Out app delivers a truly rich, mobile enhanced experience, putting all of Time Out’s fantastic content in the palm of your hand.”

Marketing Director of Smirnoff, Anita Robinson is quick to add, “Here at Smirnoff we are passionate about inspiring and supporting one-of-a-kind experiences. Now, through partnering with Time Out on the Smirnoff & Time Out app, people can discover our own unique events alongside other original nightlife and entertainment in the capital using their phone.”

It seems they’ve really pushed to make this app something worthwhile, I sincerely hope it lives up to its expectations. If it can do well for London, I don’t see why an app can’t be developed for other cities around the world, something which would be very interesting indeed. Take a look at the video below which gives a quick insight as to how the app will work.
