The PlayStation 4 is a video game console from Sony Computer Entertainment. Announced as the successor to the PlayStation 3 during a press conference on February 20, 2013, the PS4 is the second eighth-generation console to be officially confirmed – the first was Nintendo's Wii U. It will also be the fourth game console in Sony's PlayStation series. The PS4 is expected to launch in the fourth quarter of 2013.
