Webinar on holidays and employment law with Höcker Advocaten
Tuesday, June 16, 2020
*This webinar will be held in Dutch.
The Netherlands is slowly opening due to the announced relaxation of the 'intelligent lockdown'. This applies in several countries in Europe, and what seemed to be a utopia two months ago has turned out to be possible: employees can go on holiday, and possibly also abroad. The announcement was accompanied by some strong blows to the arm of the Prime Minister. For example, you are responsible for repatriation if you get stuck in a country where a quarantine is suddenly instituted. This naturally prompted questions in our practice, and is reason to take a detailed look at holiday legislation with you in this webinar. We will address questions such as:
- What does red, orange or yellow code mean in employment law terms?
- Can I prohibit an employee from going on holiday to a specific country?
- Is the employee entitled to wages in case of a mandatory quarantine abroad? And in the Netherlands?
- What if the employee falls ill abroad?
- My employees suddenly all want to go on holiday at the same time; is that allowed?
- The mirror image: my employees still want to cancel their already planned holidays. How can I handle this?
- What about holiday pay? which remuneration components are part of this?
The webinar will be held using Zoom. During the webinar there will be plenty of opportunity to ask questions via chat. If you have specific questions beforehand, you can send them to: mail@hocker.nl . The webinar will take about an hour and a half. After registration you will receive the link to the webinar a day in advance.
You are most welcome at the webinar! In the unlikely event that you are unable to be present at the time below, no man is left behind. Send us a message via the registration link and you will receive the recording of the webinar afterwards.
