KPMG Office Hours: Tax
Friday, September 22, 2023
With annual Budget Day (Prinsjesdag) and new tax legislation just around the corner, we're teaming up with our founding partner, KPMG, to host an Office Hours session to help you tackle all of your tax related questions!
Changes in tax legislation for 2024 will be announced on Tuesday September 19, so we'll be hosting this event just a couple of days later, on Friday September 22. Tax advisors Diderick de Roy van Zuidewijn, Julia Broos, and Nino Jouby will be here to help you digest and prepare for these changes in 1-on-1, 30 minute sessions. When growing your business, it's important to keep things simple: applying tax law and regulations correctly and in a scalable model minimises the risk of errors and unnecessary costs!
During your personal session, you will have the opportunity to ask all of your questions related to Dutch taxes. Topics to discuss include (but are not limited to):
- I have a new product/service - which VAT rate applies?
- Is my legal structure on point or can we optimise this further?
- Employee Incentive Plans (e.g. ESOPs) – what’s out there and what should I choose?
- We’re expanding abroad – how should I structure this efficiently?
- What should be stated on invoices from a Dutch tax perspective?
- Is the current structure of my business OK from a Dutch tax perspective?
- I want to hire new (experienced) employees – can I provide them with an attractive remuneration package (including e.g. options?)
- I am currently looking for funding, what are the differences from a tax perspective between debt versus equity?
- Can I deduct certain costs in the income tax return or certain VAT items in the Dutch VAT return?
These are just a few examples. If you have any other tax related queries, please sign up for a spot!
