Welcome to The Software House Nederland Roundtable Series!

Starting May 19th, The Software House brings you their Roundtable Series, a series of free events dedicated to C-level professionals and tech managers. Events in this series will take place every three weeks and will be hosted by Gerbert Oude Velthuis – CTO of Travelia and General Manager for TSH NL. He'll be joined by three guest speakers, each successful tech managers from the Netherlands.

These online meetings are designed to share ideas on current topics where anyone can come, ask a question, and join the discussion with other tech specialists.

The first Roundtable Series topic is distributed development teams. During this webinar you'll discuss:

• Trends in team-building/scaling (human cloud, Talent as a Service, remote hiring vs. traditional on-site teams)
• Is the right talent more important than the location? Finding a balance between local and remote talent
• The disrupted team model in different business scenarios – when does it work?
• Smooth cooperation between teams (good practices, useful tools, common mistakes)
• Future changes in hunting for talent in the new reality of COVID-19

Speakers

• Dimitrios Psarrou, CTO at Endouble, is a knowledge-driven software architect and technology leader with 10+ years of experience in web technologies. He is also a huge fan of Martin Fowler and Domain-Driven Design.
• Sietse van der Laan, Tech Team Manager at Tiqets, is enthusiastic, entrepreneurial and ambitious. His portfolio includes co-founding and holding C-level positions at Hugo, and Paylogic International – both focusing on event management.
• Matthijs Ooms, CTO at WieBetaaltWat, is responsible for creating Splitser platform and apps. He has a vast experience in roles of architect, software engineer and scrum master.
• Gerbert Oude Velthuis, CTO at Travelia, has over 25 years experience in several leadership positions. After working for an international IT company, where he built up several teams around the globe, Gerbert started his own software ventures.
