Donald Trump has a propensity for spouting off at the mouth, especially on Twitter. At this point, that statement should surprise no one. In fact, it’s one of the most oft-mentioned reasons his followers love him — he lacks the filter of previous presidential candidates.
But there are two sides to every coin. On the other, you’ll find those that equate Trump rhetoric to be akin to nails on a chalkboard. It’s that side Hillary Clinton targeted with her new tool: ‘Troll Trump.’
The tool allows Trump haters (or Clinton supporters) to pledge a monetary amount that’s then automatically donated each time Trump says something stupid. The amount can be as little as 25 cents and users have the option of setting a daily donation limit so they won’t go broke when Trump goes on a multi-tweet tirade.
“Show Donald that his unhinged rhetoric comes at a cost,” reads the website’s sign-up page. “I’m sick and tired of your hateful comments about the American people. Happy tweeting!”
Troll Trump was originally a suggestion by Matt Bellassai, a man who’s known for sharing an epic rant or two of his own (typically while drunk) on the (now discontinued) BuzzFeed web series: ‘Whine About It.’
Unbeknownst to Bellassai, the Clinton campaign would take his jestful Twitter comment and run with it.
i joked about donating to Hillary every time Trunp tweets & THEY ACTUALLY BUILT A TOOL TO DO IT IM LAUGHING SO HARD https://t.co/2wse40ZIjr pic.twitter.com/GARvkJfSCD

The Clinton campaign reports the tool clears a cool $1,100 for each Trump tweet.
On a personal level, both candidates are giant children and I wish I could put them in time out. I’m counting the days until I can cast my protest vote for Vermin Supreme and be done with this flaming shitstorm masquerading as an election.
18 more days.
