We finally have an official trailer for ‘Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2.’ It’s about darn time.
It’s just a sneak peak, so it’s light on footage – not to mention any plot details – but there’s still a little we can gather. The teaser harkens back to the original Guardians of the Galaxy trailers, featuring Blue Suede’s ‘Hooked on a Feeling,’ which is pretty much the official theme music for the series now.
It starts out a little darker than the trailer for the original movie though, which makes me think the story will take a bit of a darker tone (something which has been suggested before). Don’t worry though, there are still the typical Marvel quips; Drax in particular seems to have warmed up quite a bit since the last film.
You won’t have to wait long for more either. Director James Gunn says the first full trailer is coming “soon,” and that it will contain separate footage from the teaser.
