Online version of the 808 drum machine is your ticket to drop dat bass

The Roland TR-808 is the go-to drum machine for hip-hop. Artists like Afrika Bambaataa, the Beastie Boys, LL Cool J, Kanye West, Outkast and others have used this machine to create some of your favorite songs. Hell, even Marvin Gaye used an 808 on his amazing track, Sexual Healing.

Now you can recreate all those songs and create few of your own with an online version of the 808. Because we know ya’ll wanted that 808 can you feel that B-A-S-S, bass. The HTML5 version of the instrument has all the percussion sounds you’ve heard in these songs along with the ability to adjust the volume and tone of each of those sounds.

While Roland has reintroduced the TR-808 as the TR8, unless you’re a musician, the chances of you ever using either device is slim. This, on the other hand, is for anyone who’s ever wanted to try their hand at the seminal drum machine.

The virtual machine also has options to use the TR-909, LinnDrum and Elektron Machinedrum. After you’ve sequenced something you like, you can export a WAV file of your track and maybe create your own music history.
