How pretty is your IP? This site generates a color palette based on your IP address

How pretty is your IP? This site generates a color palette based on your IP address

London design agency Strange has taken to the Web to ask a rather strange question: How pretty is your IP?

While exploring how it could integrate “dynamic or living logos” into its new site, Strange realized that IP addresses consist of numbers ranging from 0 to 255 — just like RGB colors. That experiment led to Pretty IP.

Pretty IP works by grabbing the first seven numbers of your IP address. For example, if your address is 74.55.231.209, you’ll end up with this slightly purple-ish blue.

Pretty IP is a light-hearted experiment that’s fun to play with on its own, but it also shows the potential random user data has to create custom or generative experiences. Check it out via the link below!
