What does Zeen do?

Zeen is solving the common problem “what shall I watch tonight?” for modern audiences, helping to navigate in the sea of content by focusing on what’s relevant and by keeping in touch with the content and people around it. At the same time Zeen enables content owners to engage with their audiences in an efficient and non-intrusive way.

There are quite a few companies in the field, starting with The TV Guide, but nearly all of them are centered around traditional TV customers. Unlike Zeen, they lack true personalization and powerful discovery. Zeen is mobile-first and offers unique magazine-style UX that turns discovery from “problem solving” to pure fun.

Where did the idea come from?

Our team’s background is in the video content industry. Some time ago we’ve created the biggest Russian premium VoD company. We are truly obsessed with the best possible UX and realized that there’s a huge gap between the ever increasing abundance of video content and people’s ability to sit back and relax without spending 20 minutes surfing channels or VoD catalogues

What’s the vision?

Our grand vision is to create the future TV, which in our mind is not app-centric, but content- and people-centric. It embraces mobile and empowers connected TVs. Think about a Smart TV or a set-top-box without apps, filled with just content. Relevant content. Current Zeen is a first step in this direction.
