Following yesterday’s release of a redesigned YouTube app for Android, Google has announced the update will be coming to iOS as well. The new app will include picture-in-picture functionality for watching a video while browsing for another, support for playlists and deeper Chromecast integration for previewing and queuing up videos.
After years of providing a bundled YouTube app on iOS, Google parted ways with Apple last year and released a standalone version.
Update: The new YouTube for iOS has arrived, with a fresh logo to boot.
