A report today on Bloomberg Business detailed Radioshack’s plans to sell off its name separately from its assets, with a $20 million opening bid.
As part of the sell-off, Radioshack will put up for sale its trademarks and other intellectual property. The opportunity to purchase the RadioShack name was announced today in bankruptcy court.
With the name being sold off separately, it’s possible we might see the brand reborn as something else in the future.
If you’ve always wanted to own the Radioshack name, all you’ll need to do is dig deep for a few million and it could be yours.
