This AR Pong game lets you be the paddle – on a climbing wall

There are already a few ways to get in some exercise while playing video games – think Dance Dance Revolution, Wii Tennis, and Pokémon Go. But if you’re looking for a real workout for your whole body, you’ll want to check out Augmented Climbing Wall‘s clever setup.

The unimaginatively named company from Finland offers a projector paired with a computer that’s loaded with custom games intended for play on a climbing wall – making you an in-game object or character.

In the video above, you can see players acting as virtual Ping Pong paddles in a game of Climball. You can use any part of your body to send the ball to your opponent’s side of the court and past their reach, stretching and climbing quickly as you go. I’m no climber, but I’d certainly love to get started if Climball is as much fun as it looks.

If your office foosball table just isn’t cutting it anymore, perhaps this would make for a nice upgrade.
