Yes, Twitter is having issues with photo uploads, but they’re working on it [Update: fixed]

If you’ve been having trouble uploading photos to Twitter’s own services today, you’re not alone. There’s a problem in which photo uploads time out when trying to attach them to tweets via the native photo-sharing service powered by Photobucket.

A note on Twitter’s Status page says that there is an issue and that they’re working on fixing it. I’ve been experiencing the problem myself, as you can see below. The photo attaches to the tweet but never uploads and eventually there’s a timeout message.

As Twitter is aware of the problem, there’s not much more to do now but wait. You can check the status page to see whether it has been fixed, and we’ll update this post when it is.
