Yelp has added a raft of new business categories to its booking and ordering services in the US.
The platform now lets you reserve your place at a VIP table at a nightclub, set up a round of golf at your favorite course, try a new outdoor activity like skydiving, send flowers and even make an appointment with a legal consultant.
The company has teamed up with Vimbly, GolfNow, BloomNation, Vagaro, TableList and LegalZoom to expand its offering. Yelp says its customers have already made about 1.5 million bookings since its platform launched.
It’s a big move for Yelp, which has rapidly grown beyond its original incarnation as a restaurant review site. Most recently, the company acquired food delivery service Eat24 for $134 million in February.
