Yelp goes down right before crucial lunch and dinner plans are made

Restaurant (and other business) review site Yelp is currently down. Both the site and mobile apps are unable to connect to the Yelp servers and right now everyone is freaking out about where they’ll eat.

Probably a good time to to try out Foursquare’s new Swarm app.

Yelp may be down for some of you right now. We’re experiencing networking issues, but working to get back up to speed ASAP.

Update: Yelp issued the following comment:

Yelp is experiencing networking issues, and we’re working to get the site back up to speed as soon as possible.
