Twitter is making plenty of announcements today at Flight 2015, but dropped a little nugget for Mac fans.
Soon, Twitter for Mac won’t suck anymore!
Announced by Twitter’s Senior Director of Product Jeff Seibert, the app update didn’t get an exact roll-out date (Seibert promised later this year) but finally it seems Twitter will be usable on the desktop.
Optimized for OS X El Capitan, the new Twitter will accommodate group DMs, GIFs, and integrations with Mac’s Notification Center. Visually, the app offers in-line replies as well as a snazzy dark mode.
Maybe now the company can become the best native Mac app running Twitter? We’ll see.
