Yahoo’s Aviate, the Android launcher that serves you up a different homescreen depending on time and context, is today getting a small update to make it more useful.
It now includes a universal search function to quickly look up your apps, contacts and Web results – powered, of course, by Yahoo. You’ll see the search results right in the launcher, so you needn’t open up a browser for just a quick search.
Right now the functionality is only available for English-language users in the US, but Yahoo plans to expand availability soon.
