Yahoo today announced it will be hosting The Yahoo Mobile Developer Conference – its first ever conference aimed at developers – on February 19 in San Francisco.
The conference will feature Yahoo representatives and app developers discussing upcoming advances in the mobile market. Speakers from data analytics firm Flurry, which Yahoo recently acquired, will also share their insights on what’s to come for mobile development.
The company also says it will be announcing “a suite of tools that will help mobile developers better understand their users and improve, grow and monetize their apps.”
As Yahoo notes, Americans now spend more time on their smartphones than watching TV, so it’s perhaps no surprise that Yahoo’s very first developer conference is focused on the mobile space.
