Chinese smartphone manufacturer Xiaomi has enjoyed tremendous success in India, having sold 1 million handsets in the country in less than six months. The company is now selling its mobile accessories there through its own site.
The revamped country-specific site now sells earphones, power banks, cases and covers for Xiaomi’s smartphones. The accessories have previously been available from Flipkart and a few resellers.
Xiaomi isn’t selling its mobile devices the site yet. Its new budget phone, the Redmi 2, as well as the 7.9-inch Mi Pad tablet, will retail on Flipkart on March 24.
Customers will need to register for an invite to buy the phone, but won’t need one for the tablet.
