At last year’s E3 expo, Microsoft said that it would bring Xbox-only games to PCs. Finally, that dream is becoming a reality with Xbox Play Anywhere.

The new program, announced at the company’s E3 press conference, will see select games becoming available across both Xbox One and Windows 10.

When you purchase any participating title, it’ll be available on your console as well as your desktop. Plus, your progress, add-ons and achievements will be synced so you can pick up on where you left off on either platform – all at no extra cost.

These games will only be available as digital downloads through the Xbox Store and Windows Store – you won’t see physical copies of Play Anywhere games, except for digital codes that you can purchase at select retailers.

The best part about it the program is that it’ll allow you to play with friends who aren’t on the same platform as you. The first few games that will support this will come from Microsoft, but hopefully Play Anywhere will catch on and see more developers hop on board.

There are a bunch of major releases coming to the program, including Gears of War 4, Forza Horizon 3, ReCore, Killer Instinct, Ark: Survival Evolved and Halo Wars 2. There are also a few indies games like Cuphead and We Happy Few that are slated to arrive as well.

You might have to wait for these games to become available, though: Forza Horizon 3 will launch on September 27 and Gears of War 4 lands on October 11.
