Microsoft has given Upload Studio, the Xbox One’s built-in video editing suite, a welcome update. The overhaul adds the ability to splice together your game recordings to create shows of up to 30 minutes. It also introduces text overlays, effects and transitions.

The most potentially cool of the new effects is the ability to put yourself into your videos using Kinect. Microsoft says the ‘green screen effects’ will work without an actual green screen as the camera can pick you out from the background. That said, there are plenty of reports that the feature is a little glitchy, so remain sceptical.
