Matt Mullenweg says that while there are no concrete plans for WordPress 3.3 just yet, it’s likely that the team will focus on improving the media uploaders and the updating systems, WPCandy reports.
There are no clues as to what will be improved when it comes to the uploader, though I can personally think of a few things — dealing with plenty of media in a post can really slow post production down.
Apparently there’s a clearer roadmap for updates. Mullenweg would like to see silent updates (much like Google Chrome has now) that quietly and automatically updates WordPress itself and your plugins, ensuring that website owners always have the most recent versions of all the software running their site.
We’ll see how the team tackles the potential for untested updates to break users’ themes.
