Microsoft just dropped a bombshell for Windows Phone 7 users, announcing that it will no longer release updates to Skype for the mobile operating system.
It’s not a massive surprise though, given that Windows Phone 7 was released way back in 2010, which is a lifetime ago in mobile terms. And now it’s looking to push ahead with Windows Phone 8 in the wake of its Nokia Devices & Services acquisition.
The app will remain in the Windows Phone Store though, and you will still be able to use it for Chat, Voice and Video Calls. That’s something, right?
