Windows Phone 7 Asia release dates

Microsoft unveiled Windows Phone 7 handsets yesterday marking its foray into the highly competitive mobile OS market. According to Microsoft’s press release, Windows Phone 7 devices will be available in 30 countries through 60 mobile operators including SingTel. Windows Phone 7 will launch on October 21 in Europe and Asia, and the first US handset will be on sale starting November 8.

Windows Phone 7 manufacturers include HTC, LG, Dell and Samsung. Each manufacturer has unveiled its respective handsets running Windows Phone 7. Below is the detailed list of the handsets to be released in Asia Pacific. Also, check out Engadgets’s preview of these handsets here.

HTC

HTC announced the release of five Windows Phone 7 handsets. Three of these handsets will be available in Asia Pacific in late October 2010. In Singapore specifically, HTC HD7, HTC7 Mozart and HTC7 Trophy will be available via SingTel, Starhub and M1 respectively. The detailed list of HTC phone’s availability in Asia Pacific below:

HTC HD7 will be exclusively available with Telstra in Australia.

HTC HD7 will be exclusively available with Telecom New Zealand.

HTC HD7 will be exclusively available with Singtel in Singapore.

HTC HD7 will be exclusively available with Maxis in Malaysia.

HTC HD7 will be available with Taiwan Mobile in Taiwan.

HTC HD7 will be available in Hong Kong with CSL, 3 and China Mobile.

HTC 7 Mozart will be exclusively available with Telstra in Australia.

HTC 7 Mozart will be exclusively available with Starhub in Singapore.

HTC 7 Mozart will be available in Hong Kong with CSL, 3 and China Mobile.

HTC 7 Mozart will be available with Chunghwa Telecom in Taiwan.

HTC 7 Trophy will be exclusively available with Vodafone in Australia and New Zealand.

HTC 7 Trophy will be exclusively available with M1 in Singapore.

LG

LG Electronics today announced the launch of two Windows Phone 7 devices – LG Optimus 7 and LG Optimus 7Q. Both these devices will be released in 35 countries with 100 telcos on Oct 21. LG Optimus 7 will be launched in Singapore with SingTel on Oct 21.

Samsung

Samsung announced the launch of its new Windows Phone 7 device – Omnia 7. This device will be launched in Europe and Asia, including Singapore on Oct 21.  More details to come.
