Earlier today TNW brought forward the argument that it was all but time for Microsoft to release new information, detail, and confirmation on the coming 7.8 build of its Windows Phone mobile operating system. To that end, the following video clip does that for the company, even as it sits by and says nothing.
Brought to our attention by WPCentral, the following video shows off Windows Phone 7.8 as we haven’t seen it before. Be warned, however, that there is precious little contained therein that will be shocking. Instead, the short take is simply a demonstration of what we already knew is coming.
The build in question is 8858.136, for reference. Now, the video:
Also in the video is the Nokia Lumia 510, it seems, a phone that we have seen but little of thus far. Its position in the Nokia lineup is to be as cheap as possible.
Microsoft has promised more on Windows Phone 7.8 in the ‘coming weeks.’ Until they see it fit to shed more light, we’re stuck as before groping along the edges. As we learn more, we will bring it to you.
We’ll end with what we said last time: “Microsoft, talk to your users. They want to know what you are up to.”
