Three sources familiar with Apple’s plans have informed Bloomberg that the long-delayed white version of the iPhone 4 is set to go on sale in the next few weeks.
Apparently the white model will be arriving by the end of April in both Verizon and AT&T flavors.
The delays in production were attributed to the white paint that peeled under heat, revealed one of the sources. Bloomberg also attributes new confirmation that the next version of Apple’s iPhone won’t be released at this year’s WWDC to two of those sources. Mike Abramsky, an analyst at RBC Capital Markets, says that the new iPhone will instead arrive in September.
All of Bloomberg’s sources requested anonymity because the plans have not yet been made public by Apple.
September is normally when Apple releases its updates to the iPod lineup including new iPod touch and iPod Nano models.
We’ll update this story if more details are revealed.
