What do you get when you combine turntables and Tesla coils? Well as you might expect, the results are pretty illuminating.
At a recent Bay Area Maker Faire event San Francisco turntablist DJ Qbert experimented, combining super fast DJ’ing with high-voltage energy. With each scratch of the turntable the audience not only heard the results but were also treated to a visual show, with each scratch also becoming a spark off the nearby telsa coil.
DJ Qbert’s unique fast-handed performance was made possible thanks to Intel’s tiny Edison computer.
The Edison device powered the turntable set-up, which was hooked up to the tesla coil.
