If you’re a gearhead then you’re definitely going to want to spare a few minutes to check out this lovely teardown of a Porsche Carrera 3.2 engine in stop motion. The teardown is just part one of a conversion project being undertaken by Hoeing Sportmotoren on its way to building it back up into a hot rod.
While there are plenty of timelapse videos of teardowns, there’s something visceral about seeing each part come off in stop motion. The 3.2 made its appearance in 1984 on the 20th anniversary of the Carrera and it’s still a beautiful piece of machinery today.
Thanks Charlie Kindel for sharing.
